In early April 2020, Joe Casabona and Liam Dempsey launched the Start Local podcast as a way to help local businesses and non-profits get the information that they needed to respond to the pandemic. In November of that same year, Joe and Liam hit the pause button on the show because, by and large, governments agencies and programs had systems in place to inform local leaders of how best to access support.
As we relaunched the show in 2023, we focused Start Local on highlighting local area individuals who work for (or own) local businesses and non-profits. Our conversations will be about doing business – and good – in and around Chester County.
A big part of our relaunch is to welcome more voices to the show as hosts. Erik Gudmundson joined our little team in 2023. And to be clear, we are working to bring on a few more hosts to better reflect the community that is Chester County.
